Teaching for Transformation: Conference (TforT:C) 2026
This year’s theme: Trust
March 9-11, 2026
Registration is now open!
Teaching for Transformation: Conference (TforT: C) is a three-day immersion in the education paradigms and practices needed for today’s health care work. TforT:C involves paired dialogic keynote sessions, workshops, short talks (submitted abstracts), dialogic roundtables, and space for open dialogue.
In health professions education, trust is more than a principle. It’s a practice that must be embodied across teaching, science, and care. At the 2026 Teaching for Transformation Conference, we explore how trustworthiness in our roles requires not just evidence and ethics, but connection: to one another, to our patients, and to the diverse communities we come from. Ironically, the journey into professional identity can sometimes create distance from those very communities. Transformative education invites us to bridge that gap. This year’s TforT conference will explore what trust means, share educational approaches that can strengthen community, and propose innovative models for caring and connection. Join us and bring your voice to the conversation as we work together toward trust-building, trustworthy transformative education for health and social care.
Conference
TforT:C is more than a conference. Registration is limited to foster a dialogic learning environment. This conference is relevant to health and social care providers, educators, researchers, health/education policy and decision makers, patients/family partners, caregivers, students, and all individuals who share an interest in advancing the theories and practices of humanistic and transformative education and critical pedagogies and practices.
Registration
The 2026 Teaching for Transformation: Conference will be offered as a hybrid conference. Please note that you can select only ONE conference delivery option. For example, if you choose to attend in-person, you cannot attend online and vice-versa.
