To qualify as an author, one must have been substantially involved in either:

• drafting the work OR
• revising it critically for important intellectual content. This entails revisions that contribute essential, analytical content to the manuscript. If an author provides only grammatical edits or changes to diction, it would not satisfy this requirement.
